Greeting WTC Homeowners.
As a follow up to our August 7th communication (see below), the basketball renovation project is currently underway. The fence has been installed, and next steps include:
▪installation of the key fob pads on the entrance gate for the basketball court and the tennis court,
▪repainting and repaving of both courts,
▪and installation of the new basketball backboards and rims, which for safety reasons, will be reinstalled at the completion of the renovation project.
Lastly, in response to community questions and concerns regarding the renovation project and how we arrived at this decision:
▪two surveys were taken, with majority votes in both surveys in favor of keeping the basketball courts and the Board of Directors finding a solution, and
▪a Town Hall meeting was held, which also included a discussion about the basketball court - again, the majority of homeowners were in favor of keeping the courts and the Board of Directors finding a solution.
We will continue to provide status updates on the renovation project as they become available.
We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.
Best Regards,
Board of Directors,
Woodmore Towne Centre at Glenarden HOA
wtc-hoa.org / board@wtc-hoa.org
Please be advised, the remaining basketball rim will be removed on Thursday, August 8, 2024; and for safety reasons, the rims will not be reinstalled until the completion of the renovation project (completion date to be determined.) An update re the reopening date will be provided when it is made available to the Board of Directors.
For more information about the renovation project, please reference the excerpt below taken from our July 11, 2024 communication to the community.
In advance, we appreciate your patience during the renovation period.
Please note, we (the Primary Board of Directors) will be on break during the month of August.
Please do not hesitate to contact us at board@wtc-hoa.org with any questions or concerns. We look forward to hearing from you.
The Primary Board of Directors is in the process of scheduling a start date for the start of the renovation project. This project will include fencing around the basketball court, which when completed, will only be accessible via a key fob; the same will apply to the tennis court. The renovation project will also include re-pavement of the basketball court and tennis court; pickleball lines added to the tennis court, and both basketball rims/backboards will be replaced. Due to the renovation project, the basketball court will be closed (rims removed) within the next week or so and will reopen upon completion of the project, which is estimated to last 30-60 days.
Please consider this communication as the official notice for the closure/removal of the basketball rims and backboards. Updates for this project will be provided on our community website.
Best Regards,
Board of Directors,
Woodmore Towne Centre at Glenarden HOA

Greeting WTC Homeowners.
This message serves as a follow-up to our Board of Directors 1st Quarterly Meeting and our May 1st Town Hall Meeting. We, the Primary Board of Directors, have been busy since our community meetings researching and following up on next steps for the basketball court and amenities security. After meeting with several vendors to discuss and review options, and vetting their proposals with our Legal Department, we are now happy to report that we have reached a decision! The board concurred on fencing up the basketball court, adding electronic key fob entry boxes to the basketball and tennis courts, and amending our current security posture.
We understand that we may never find the one perfect solution for all homeowners, but we believe that the solutions we’ve agreed upon will provide a fair balance and will make a noticeable difference.
